SWEAT SESSION N°4 Sweat Sessions (@sweatsessions_) returns to Mood Ring with a dynamic lineup of local vinyl DJs and producers, each with their own distinctive sonic signature. Eden Aurelius (@eden.aurelius), NYC-based producer with recent acclaimed release on Glasgow’s co:clear, explores the off-kilter, bass-heavy landscape of contemporary dub, immersing listeners in a sonic bath of fuzzy warmth. Very J (@jscott27), Duty Free record dealer and one of NYC’s sharpest selectors, digs deep in their crate for a wide spectrum of heaters ranging from proggy French new wave to acid house with a distinctly nostalgic 90’s NY house groove. Valentin Lamar (@valentinlamar), S4YM resident and avid record collector, lays down a refined selection of vinyl gems across a jazz-infused landscape of dub, funk house, and bass-heavy garage. Jenga (@jupiek) closes out the night with a pulsating soundscape of broken beat bass and swelteringly hot psy-infused dubstep. full body stretch (@marc.huo) eases us into the night with an eclectic selection of ethereal downtempo and understated dub techno grooves. ੈ✩‧₊˚ੈ✩‧₊˚ $10/$15 cover or free before 11 PM with RSVP on Resident Advisor Cash, card, and Apple Pay accepted for door payments.
