Cosmic Rhythms returns to Dada with two venerable vinyl veterans: Marsweather of Acid Mama, a party series that's thrown down many a-bangin' event at down-the-street Earthly Delights; and Secret Grapes, a deep-digger of overlooked classics and rare gems unearthed from the dustiest of crates. Ben Zo closes the night after his accomplished accomplices with our soirée's sole digital deployment. Ben Zo is a DJ for any occasion. Depending on where, you could hear anything between jacking house and celestial techno, often within expansive mixes that cinematically move between intensity and levity in symbiosis with any dance floor. He is the organizer of BUSH DÜF, a Bushwick-based techno party and a resident at Newtown Radio, where he curates the recurring ambient/experimental nights. Marsweather is an ambidextrous digital-and-vinyl digger of deep cuts and quintessentially cosmic rhythms. He may have been rocking the boroughs for years at this point, but the founder of party series Acid Mama and half of DJ duo MD knows better than most how to keep a floor grooving with his vast and varied repertoire even among recent performances. Whether it's at someplace small like Good Bar or Knockdown Center for Fourth World, he is as skilled a mixer as he is discerning a selector. Secret Grapes is an all-vinyl DJ with a decade of experience as a collector of atmospheric and sensual records from the 90s and early 2000s. Her intuitive and knowledgeable understanding of music across genres stems from an active engagement with nightlife that is deeper than a career but a vocation. A rising talent with a veteran ear, her obsession with 90s progressive house finds refinement within an overlooked genre and she is also the founder of upcoming ambient event series Leisure Emporium set to debut in May.
